  • Built-in 4-inch subwoofers for rich, powerful bass
  • Compact, stylish design suitable for any room or style

Connectivity

For vinyl LP playback, the SpeakEasy 4’s Phono input is compatible with most turntables without requiring a separate phono preamplifier.

This is an analog input that can connect a CD player, tuner, personal computer, or any other line-level source.

The SpeakEasy 4’s Toslinks accept high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz (two-channel PCM only, no Dolby or DTS decoding is provided).

This makes it easy to get audio from a HDMI-ARC enabled TV (most TVs) to the SpeakEasy 4 — making it a great soundbar substitute in addition to music playback.

his allows the playback of song files stored on USB flash drivers directly through the SpeakEasy 4, as well as being able to power and charge a mobile device (smartphones, tablets) or Andover’s own Songbird Streamer.

The SpeakEasy 4 includes a built-in Bluetooth receiver.

The SpeakEasy 4 also has line pre-outs that permit connection of additional powered speakers, and/or a powered subwoofer.

This sets the speakers’ internal lights to dim five seconds after the user changes the volume, advances a track, or makes another adjustment.

Easily control the SpeakEasy 4 with its included IR remote, or with its intuitive front-panel control knob with LED to indicate operation modes.

The SpeakEasy 4 wakes from Standby mode when an audio signal is sensed on the input that was active when the speaker was last placed on Standby. This means that when you turn your selected source component on the SpeakEasy 4 will automatically wake so you can hear the music.

The speakers come with removable grilles.

The SpeakEasy 4 has a MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) cabinet that incorporates internal bracing and a bass reflex slotted vent for lower resonance.

Walter Schofield of Nexus Audio Technologies Says,

"As someone who sells $100,000 speakers for a living, I expected the SpeakEasy speakers to sound paper thin. Imagine my surprise when I heard a very good semblance of bass response, transparency, and extended high frequencies. I don't know how they did it, but a few pairs of those will certainly grace my home as well as my friends' homes."

These little things are amazing!! The sound from my TV blows any soundbar I've had out of the water. You can hear small details like birds chirping and and feet pattering on the ground. Especially great if you watch a lot of national geographic or movies with great soundtracks. The sound with vinyl was really good after I upgraded my cable. The Bluetooth sound is great too. I'm enjoying them.

Very good sound from small speakers

I am very pleased with the sound quality and the ease of the bluetooth connection. I haven't connected my turntable, yet, for the real test.

I love them!

I'll admit, I'm not a professional audio enthusiast, just an avid music listener. I upgraded from a Spinbase. I find the sound on the SpeakEasy's is crisper and clearer than the Spinbase. The SpeakEasy's also solved my biggest issue with the Spinbase, which was listening at low volume. In many cases, even the lowest volume on the Spinbase still protruded over conversation. This problem has been fixed with the SpeakEasy's as low level listening is great.

The SpeakEasy's also add a nice design element to our space that really wasn't apparent with the Spinbase.

I don't find the remote on the SpeakEasy's particularly useful because the range is poor, and I don't use this system for Bluetooth audio.

Overall, very happy with the purchase! This is my fourth Andover product, and I've loved them all. I also recommend Andover to anyone trying to get into vinyl without wanting to break the bank.

"...I can now play vinyl on the A1 as well as stream music with my iPhone with the A1 and SE4 speakers working simultaneously for both methods with no static, etc. The result is GLORIOUS! I could not be happier. The SE4 sound phenomenal on their own but when paired with the A1 speakers and subwoofer.... well, I could just cry, the sound is that good. Thank you both for your professionalism and patience with my emails and calls. Andover Audio Forever!"

Excellent speakers. For its size it's the best sounding speakers I've heard. I connected them to a VPI Turntable and a Andover Turntable and they sounded great with both. Highly recommened.
