A couple of months ago I decided to hop into my (rented) car and drive from coast to coast! Well, I wanted to have an all-in-one turntable to bring along with me, plus a bunch of my favorite records to have at whatever hotel and Airbnb I stayed at along the way. I wasn’t going to resort to buying those cheap pieces of junk like from Crosley etc, so I searched and searched online for something that might be up to my standards. I had just about given up when I decided to search one last time and that is when I discovered Andover Audio and this record player. As I read the description, I couldn't believe it. The built in speakers had good bass and that didn't affect the playing of the records at all? I ordered one and it literally came to my house the day before I left for my trip. I set it up and played a record and was very impressed, The bass was decent without having an optional soundbar, and I quickly decided. It was coming with me!
So, in the trunk of the car it went along with a crate of records plus all my luggage and stuff. I then drove from Delanco, New Jersey to Hermosa Beach, California, with stops in several places in Tennessee and Missouri to visit friends. In all the places I stayed at on the trip, I often rocked out to music playing on it. Plus, I had a lot of fun stopping at various Walmarts, Targets, and independent record shops and buying tons of records, too. (FYI- there is an AMAZING record store in St. Louis, Missouri called "Vintage Vinyl" that you HAVE TO check out if you're in that area!) And when I met up with friends we'd listen to it while playing cards, staying up late and catching up with each other, hanging out in all night Denny's restaurants, and talking s*** and laughing our behinds off at nothing and everything.
In Missouri especially we were blasting lots of old school hip-hop like Schoolly D, Public Enemy and new stuff like Kendrick Lamar. Lots of rock and punk too like Joan Jett, the Ramones, the Heartbreakers, Mink Deville, and tons of other stuff from disco to 80s and 90s Freestyle dance music etc, techno, house etc. Oh yeah, I remember rock bands like The Tubes, a band called America etc. It was awesome!
Quite frankly, if it wasn’t for the Andover One E I don’t think I would have had as good a time on my trip without it! As I sit here writing this the good memories are flooding back and I'm loving it. What an amazing trip I went on, and one I'll remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, Andover Audio! You guys rock.
